One day, I did the unthinkable; I updated my wifes phone and her favorite egg tracking app stopped working.
Worse, it looked like the developer wasnt planning on updating it.
So, what else could I do but build her a replacement.
Along the way, we added some features that we think that people raising chickens (and other poultry) might find useful.
There are three parts to the app:The "Harvest" section is designed to be used on a daily basis when you go out and find the latest batch of eggs waiting for you to collect.
Sometimes environmental factors such as light or stress can affect egg production.
By tracking the egg counts, you can watch for these trends.The "Flock" section is for keeping tabs on the members of your flock.
If youre like us, sometimes its hard to keep track of whos who in the coop, so adding a picture and a name goes a long way.
For the breeders out there, we added a family tree graph.
We havent done this ourselves yet, so any feedback is welcome.The "Finances" section gives you the ability to see (if you want to) just how much your feathered friends are costing you in feed and other expenses.
Or, if you sell your eggs or meat, how much money they are making you.Fixed a bug when harvesting eggs by individual birds.

"Really like this App, the finance tracking is awesome, pretty user friendly interface over all. I do wish it was possible to delete a photo on a birds profile--or change which one shows on the thumbnail with the name so you could update a chick to grow-out, to adult hen without needing to delete the bird and re-enter it to get a new main photo. It would also help if you could set your egg colors using the same color chart option for leg bands. Splitting into separate flocks would be great too."

"I'm liking this app a lot for tracking egg production & sales with my chickens and ducks. The only for I see, which is making it difficult to properly calculate the cost-per-egg is that once you've set your amount of feed consumed amount there send to be no way to change or update it. At least not on Google apps. I'm sticking with this app for now but if I find something that's more easily updated and changed I will be switching."
